Duke Outpatient Clinic Team Wins Workflow Improvement Award at Duke Patient Safety Conference

The poster also won the Dr. Rebecca Kirkland award

The team at the Duke Outpatient Clinic (DOC) won in the category of workflow improvement in the poster session at the Duke Patient Safety Conference.   The poster was recognized for its effect, innovation and collaboration across disciplines. There were more than 100 entries competing in this category.

It is with great pleasure that I am informing all of you that the Duke Outpatient Clinic has been recognized for its post hospital follow-up work at today’s Duke Patient Safety Conference,” said Jessica A. Simo, Health Center Administrator at Duke Family Medicine & Duke Outpatient Clinic. “The poster, which Michelle Cefaretti did such an amazing job putting together, won in the category of workflow improvement and also won the Dr. Rebecca Kirkland award. Congratulations to everyone who played such a critical role in improving our post hospital follow-up process.  Great work!”
