Mark Sullivan, New Northern Piedmont Community Care’s Chronic Pain Initiative (CPI) Coordinator

Mark Sullivan, MSW, is the new Northern Piedmont Community Care’s Chronic Pain Initiative (CPI) Coordinator. Mark’s role will be to coordinate the implementation of the Chronic Pain Initiative (CPI which will involve engaging primary care practices, hospital emergency departments, care management programs, and community across the network’s six counties in an effort to reduce unintentional deaths from overdoses of prescription opioid used to treat acute and severe chronic pain.

Most recently, Mark served as the Executive Director of Mental Health America of the Triangle and worked as a Clinical Case Manager at Orange, Person, Chatham (OPC) Area Program. He holds an MSW from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in Therapeutic Use of the Wilderness from Prescott College.
